Happy CNY 2009!!
Been such a busy pre-CNY up till today and finally can catch a break tml. ^-^
I've done up a thorough spring cleaning of my room and managed to get most of what i've wanted. Beaming with a great sense of satisfaction with the cleaned and more cleared up room (after throwing alot of stuffs away) :P Bought all the different kind of CNY goodies too from handmade Kuah balis from colleagues, to jellies from Chinatown to Pineapple tarts from Bake inc and my favorate green pea cookie from Bengawan (Compliments from DD's mom). Got a big big 'FU' with many fishes swimming..(super nice!) and other new year decorations from the shops at hong lim during my office lunch hours too! :P HUAT AR!!!
Special for this year, my family and i went down to the thomson stretch of nursuries and went to whole stretch to buy pots of flowers for the new year! woah...see flowers until i super high.....almost bought the whole place down!! haha... in the end my mom and sis-in-law managed to drag me out when i say i want to buy this and that and that and that..... lolx. Came home with 3 beautiful pots of flowers (dark pink and red!) and also the 'Lucky' plants for my desk. I think as one grows older, tend to join in the excitement or kick in those beliefs and sayings...lolx. Lucky plants to add fortuen to your life. wahahaha...quite boliao but i tot its quite fun eh. xD
Finally got a new hp for the new year too! *mux!* Trying to get use to having a touch screen phone tho....but im finally having a hp that can make calls! hehe... call me pple, my plan is finally upgraded to free incoming after so long! lolx...never too late ya? hehe..
Seem to get lazier each year to do house visiting or stay longer at relatives hse...think the elders all having lesser and lesser energy le....When we went, of coz every1's happie to see each other, but there were soooooooooooooo many pple around that it's quite hard to really catch up esp when the host are busy entertaining the guest with food and drinks etc...somemore they are like 70+ to 80+ le...see so many people oso giddy....should really go visit them on normal days more often man...
It also got more and more obvious that the busy schedule is keeping me from spending as much time with my family as compared to just 1 year back.... my pace of life and lifestyle seems to deviate from them more and more.... i believe they felt it strongly too....as i almost totally stopped joining in their activities... and yet, i still dun have much time to spare for myself. I guess my new environment is sucking up all my time and energy after work to have enough time to share with all.... still trying to balance things up....i hope to restore this balance i used to achieve...... I think im slowly realising and learning, the hard way, about life, about people, about work and about the natural phases of life...
Overall, think its not as 'straight-forward' a year to start with. This is going to be a challenging year...with all the new or different mindsets and unknowns. But definitely a year i will mature and become clearer of where im heading in my life... :) Walk my own path out...
