Ces't La Vie

People come people go. Some stay for awhile, some pass by, while some stay forever...
That's life.

As each of us step into different phases of life, different environment and being exposed to different people, each one of us changes to a certain extent. Lifestyle, priorities and character changes.. You start meeting up and spend your spare times with new friends found or at new hangout places. You realise you probably become closer to your colleagues now than your old cliques/friends whom you haven been keeping up with due to the various demands of life. You realise you haven enough time to spend with all your good friends...to constantly keep every one of them updated. You realise you have lesser and lesser time for yourself, for your family or for your friends. You see the changes in your friends and you start to wonder if they are really going to be happy. You see your friends blessed with happiness as they tie the knot and you really wish they will stay that way forever. You see that familiar smile from close friends whom you might not have constantly been keeping up with and it really brings warmth to your heart. Or you no longer see that smile on their faces when they meet up with you as it starts to feel different..and you wonder where that friend of yours has gone......

Managed to meet up with 1 of my sisters today. It feels really great. Really great. Totally relaxed and as if we're back to the good old times. That familiar smile, that familiar feel, that heartwarming friendship.....we know who have 'left' and who 'stay'...i could only wish them all the best. Dearest buddy came by as well....tho probably he is more interested in catching up with Q...lolx. Still, i truly enjoyed this simple meetup. Just pure friendship burning...no surface talks, no upkeeping of professional image/behaviour, no politics, no work-related stuffs, no need for pleasing nor meeting others' expectations etc....this is what i call quality time. Totally took my mind off from all the demands of life as i immersed in this simple but strong burning friendship. Thanks my great pals......for reminding how simple happiness can be.

I understand people move on; priorities change. I cant say im a unambitious person, but after going through certain things in life and so much thinking, i finally figure out my priorities. I can live without a gd career, luxuries in the world, good retirement plans, and all my so-called goals in life...but i can NEVER live without my loved ones. What's there to be happy about if you've got noone to share your happiness and success with? What's there to celebrate if all whom you care have 'left' your life during your course of achieving your then happiness in life. What's the purpose and meaning of your goals when you realise you only have so little or no time left with your loved ones when one fine day, you finally did achieve your dreams...You never know if today is your last chance to love and to show your friends/family how much you care..

We have our own goals to achieve...own lives to lead in our very own directions...it's been hard, but i have started accepting that i'm no longer part of someones' lives, no longer the friend you would share your ups and downs with, no longer that fav pal you would call up in the middle of the night for supper, no longer that shoulder you lean on when you are tired, no longer that friend whom you used to care about...

At the same time, i appreciate and cherish deeply friends who have stayed with me despite all the various changes in my life...whether i have made new friends, found a new hobby, change a new job, haven been conscientiously making the effort to update, or when im beaten by myself quite oftenly...... i'm thankful.....that these friends have always been there for me...to support, to console, and to provide the strength to carry on.......and gave me good hard scoldings to wake up my senses..........you know, i've taken all these to heart...full of gratefulness, deeply etched in my heart with the deepest appreciation....even that simplest sms, word of encouragement or just that very simple pat on my back...............

I guess that's life. Certain things are beyond my control....should you chose to 'let me go', im just sad, that i could no longer keep you entertained or add colors to your life and to share your 'burdens'...just live well, stay happy...... I will just cherish you even more....especially you, who is reading this right now...... *hugzz*
