Life long learning from climbing
woah, just backed from a frustrating yet shiok or not really fully shiok climb. Attempted to complete a move but my fingers aint strong enough to keep myself balance.*arg* frustrating..Keep asking to be let down and yah, just give up..All thanks to my double itch partner, she refuses to let me down unless i try again(& again & again & again). Almost did!but still dint.=/ WEAK!
Then when i finally came down(coz uncle wanna close shop liao la), she told me it's still a great attempt. But i feel kinda frustrated and my mind started thinking about life. I was thinking, many times, you visualised how you go about completing a certain move but when you actually do it, it's hard to follow exactly as planned. You'll realised it's just too hard. Need lotsa effort and strength.. And i thought i gave up quite easily? Cant complete after few tries and i gave up. If not for my double itch, guess i would have came down LONG ago without further attempts.
Guess life's just the same. We need to try and try and attempt many many times before we succeed. We need to hang on..persistently,at least for some time. Nothing comes by easily. We have to grit our teeths and hang on, no matter how tired we are. We've got to experiment and keep trying, no matter how many failures we've encountered. We've got to put in effort, to strengthen our weaknesses and learn things we have no idea about. Then, let creativity lead you towards somewhere further. Oh, 1 very important self-discovery i made, or more of self-awareness, is i'm always looking and thinking in the wrong direction. Focusing on the wrong things..too short-sighted. Have to look far, keep an open-mind and look at the big picture out there.
DI is right..not able to complete that move is not the issue here. 'Coz the point here is not to complete and get myself done with it. It's not so much about reaching that end point. Its about learning and practising that move. Once i get it, i'll be able to overcome any other similar situations in other routes. It's about practising and getting stronger each time. Yes, i finally recognise my 'childishness' in my thinking. Or is it negativity? haa, whatever you call it. Thanks alot evil twin! =) A great lesson learnt in addition to many others. And your cheer, thanks alot! Really keeps me going. Haa...your constant support when i'm like struggling and getting all angry and frustrated up there. THANKS DI!! =D

yah, all of us are learning..and many times, we get lost along the way. We become blinded by the more immediate results and the superficial accomplishment RATHER than what it should be in the long run. =)
We need to be constantly reminded of what's really the 'point' in things/situations. Guess pang2 guang1 zhe3 qing1 bah. It's always more obvious when you are not directly the person involved. =) I'll remind you when necessary.. Lets continue to scratch our way up! (when duno scratch head, butt itchy scratch butt, hand itchy climb and scratch the rocks!!!)
